As per the year 2013 Gazette notification of India published, it is required to get the on-line anti-ragging undertaking by each student.
Each student and their parent need to take on-line anti-ragging undertaking.
A copy of the undertaking need to be given to the counselors by each student.
The two different links are provided for all the students starting from I year to final year to take an undertaking.

Anti-ragging rules from statutory bodies are as follows:
  1. As per the orders of the Supreme Court, Govt. of India, UGC, AICTE, Govt. of Karnataka, VTU, “Ragging” is a Criminal Offence leading to Non-Bail able Imprisonment.
  2. Ragging means causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of a practical joke or otherwise, to do any act which detracts from human dignity or violates his/her person or exposes him/her to ridicule or to forbear from doing any lawful act, by intimidating, wrong fully confining or injuring him or by using criminal force on him / her or by holding out to him / her any threat of such intimidation, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force.
The college has constituted anti ragging committees to curb ragging and make Ragging free campus. The different committees are –
  1. Anti-Ragging/Drug Abuse/Smoking/Alcohol Consumption - Review Committee
  2. Anti-Ragging Committee/Drug Abuse/Smoking/Alcohol Consumption (College Level)

To make all the students aware of ragging the institution has taken a pro-active measure by dissimilating the information.
  1. The rules book of the college and hand book of general information given to students at the time of admission clearly mentions the anti-ragging rules.
  2. Printed posters are placed in all the departments, canteen, administration block, etc.
  3. During the inauguration of the first year students, fresher are informed about the ill-effect of ragging or encourage ragging.
  4. Orientation program also has a session on anti-ragging and its ill effect.
  5. Students of all the higher semester are called for anti-ragging awareness program during which the local Inspector of Police is invited to address.

The Grievance Redressal Cell is constituted to probe into the student grievances and address genuine problems and complaints of students whatever be the nature of the problem.
Grievance Redressal Cell Objectives
  1. To create a platform where students can point out their problems, regarding academic and non academic matters.
  2. Get suggestions from the students for improvement.
  3. Take necessary steps for improvement in the light of grievances
  4. The complaint management mechanism is carried out in three levels in the institution
  5. The departmental level grievances are attended by the concerned class Coordinators, Counsellors and Department Heads.
  6. The student coordinators and staff coordinators of grievance redressal cell act as facilitators to communicate and sort out the grievances at the department level.
  7. Unresolved grievances at the departmental level are referred to the Grievance Redressal Cell of the institution.
The students are instructed to approach the Cell to voice their grievances regarding academic and non academic matters.
  1. The cell redresses the grievances at individual and class level and grievances of common interest. Students are encouraged to use the suggestion box placed on the campus to express constructive suggestions and grievances.
  2. Suggestion Boxes are provided in every building and grievance records are placed at vantage points in the college (including the Library and Hostels) for the students/staff to air their grievances.
  3. Complaints dropped in the ‘Suggestion Box’ by students and oral complaints are also redressed. All complaints are scrutinized by the management and the grievance redressal cell.
  4. HODs/Principal/Management regularly attend to these on need basis.
  5. The college assures students that once a complaint is made, it will be treated with confidentiality.
  6. Besides there is an exclusive mechanism to address the issues relating to women and their grievances.

Objectives

Prevention of sexual harassment in the campus and provide safe working environment for women employees and girl students.

Anti Sexual harassment Committee

Role and responsibility of Anti-sexual harassment committee:
  1. To ensure provision of a work and educational environment that is free from sexual harassment
  2. To take all reasonable steps (active and preventive in nature) to prevent the harassment occurring
  3. Obtain high level support from the Principal & Management for implementing a comprehensive strategy
  4. Develop a written policy which prohibits sexual harassment.
  5. Regularly distribute and promote the policy at all levels of the organization
  6. Display anti-sexual harassment posters on notice boards in common work areas and distribute relevant brochures; Conduct regular awareness rising sessions for all staff on sexual harassment issues
  7. Ensure that complaints processes:
    1. are clearly documented;
    2. are explained to all employees
    3. offer both informal and formal options for resolution
    4. address complaints in a manner which is fair, timely and confidential
    5. are based on the principles of natural justice
    6. Give an undertaking that no employee will be victimized or disadvantaged for making a complaint

NSS committee seeks to integrate social responsibility with personality development. These committees are active in organizing several extension activities like tree plantations, blood donation camps, swachh bharath campaign, etc., NSS unit also conducts awareness camps on the importance of rain water harvesting, prevention of water borne diseases, organ donation, eradication of plastic usage etc.

The sports committee shows leadership in organizing various sports activities on and off campus, coordinates and promotes participation of students in inter-collegiate sports festivals, plans and organizes sports day in the institution every year.
The professional societies like IEEE, ISTE, SAE, CSI student chapters, robotic club etc., are functioning in the college which conducts regular programs. In addition, every department has a student association. The technical committee helps students stay connected to the wide spread network of research groups. The committees inculcate research attitude among students by organizing events like paper and poster presentations, project exhibitions, participation in conferences etc., Students are encouraged and guided to participate in various competitions of state and national level.

The institution has an active student council which provides various platforms for the students to enhance their potentialities and develop their leadership qualities. The various student committees comprise of representatives from all groups of students and are led by faculty members of the institution. The committees include Departmental, Technical, Cultural, social, Sports and such other committees as per the interest of the students stepping up to take up an active role. The main purpose of these committees is to ensure harmony across an ample, vibrant and continuous range campus events and activities in the course of an academic year. The main purpose of implementing Centralized Internal Assessment Examination Cell in APSCE is to bring transparency in the periodic evaluation of teaching-learning process. The centralized internal assessment examination cell organizes the Internal Assessment Examinations as per the calendar of events of the institute to assess the performance of students over a well distributed interval of time with in the semester and to make the examination an internal and integral part of the teaching process.
